A luminous, post-impressionist view of Paris, painted with loose brushstrokes. Depicted is the le de la Cit, one of two remaining natural river islands in the Seine, with its "Vert Galant" green space. To its left, you see the Pont Neuf bridge. Unsigned, although dedicated " Paul" at the lower left, the painting was attributed by its previous owner to the artist Serge Belloni (1925-2005). A French painter of Italian origin. Serge Belloni, was known as Le Peintre de Paris. He arrived in the Capital in 1933, studied painting at the National School of Fine Arts and exhibited from 1946. Woks by Belloni are in the Muse Carnevalet in Paris, and in the Museum Ca Pesaro in Venice.
