A delightfully exuberant impressionist floral still life by Marie Lucie Nessi-Valtat (1910-1992).
Marie Lucie studied with Andr Lhote, at the Ecole des Beaux art and at the Acadmie de la Grande Chaumire from the age of 18. She was part of the circle of Montparnasse artists Lonard Foujita, Jean Hlion, Mose Kisling.
In 1932 Marie Lucie Nessi married Jean Valtat, the son of Post Impressionist master Louis Valtat, whose work influenced on his daughter-in-law's art.
After acclaimed one man shows in renowned European galleries galleries such as the Parisian Galerie Bernheim-Jeune, Marie Lucie Nessi-Valtat signed a contract of exclusivity with Wally Findlay Galleries in 1972, which led her to exhibit in New York, Chicago, Palm Beach and Beverly Hills.
