A unique piece: a sculpture, hand modelled in plaster and patinated by French artist Jeannine Nathan (b.1924). Working in Paris, Jeannine was able to visit Picasso’s studio, and was impressed by the Master’s sculpture, which would influence her work. She exhibited in Italy and Czechoslovakia in the 1960s, and the sculpture presented here dates from this period. It is signed with the artist's monogram.
